Roof inspection FAQ

Common questions about drone roof inspections, legality, deliverables, and whether you need to be on site.

How much does a drone roof inspection cost?

In Austin, Standard residential inspections are $199 flat. Large or complex roofs are $299. Additional buildings on the same visit are $149 each. Prices are published on the site—no quote call required for typical homes in our service area.

Do you need to be home for the inspection?

Usually not. We work from the exterior and public right-of-way or with property access you arrange. Locked gates or HOA rules should be flagged when you book.

Is drone inspection legal in my neighborhood?

We operate under FAA Part 107 rules, check airspace restrictions before every flight, and stay clear of airports and temporary flight restrictions.

How is this different from walking the roof?

You get broader coverage and close-ups without walking fragile or steep surfaces. Walk-on still matters for some repairs; we help you decide when that is needed.

What do I receive after the flight?

A shareable package of high-resolution photos, optional overview mosaic, and notes highlighting wear, storm damage, or maintenance items.

Can insurers use the images?

Yes. Many adjusters accept clear, dated aerial documentation as supporting evidence alongside a contractor estimate.
